Services

Miracles Rehabilitation offers individualized, comprehensive therapy for all ages and needs. It is our philosophy to focus on the individual. You have a unique history, makeup, and injuries; therefore, we believe your assessment and treatment should also be unique and tailored to your personal needs.

Our staff is comprised of highly educated, licensed professionals who care deeply about their patients and clients.

Indiana law permits physical therapists to see patients for 24 days without a referral with the exception of Medicare, BCBS, and other governmental managed plans. Although some insurance plans may require one.

3D PHYSICAL THERAPY

Miracles Rehabilitation is the leader in 3D Physical Therapy and is the only facility in the area with Fellowship Trained clinicians who possess expertise in Applied Functional Science (AFS). AFS combines restoration of motion, strength, and function with the whole body system, which includes restoring coordination, proper sequencing and timing of motion in function. LYMPHEDEMA MANAGEMENT

Lymphedema can be present at birth, but most often, it results due to damage to or dysfunction of the lymphatic system. Breast cancer treatment is the most common cause of lymphedema. Physical therapy may help reduce the swelling and discomfort.

Our program uses Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) to treat lymphedema in the upper and lower extremities, head, neck, or pelvis. CDT can be effective in improving lymphedema symptoms such as swelling and pain. It is a more intensive program that combines bandaging, compression garments, manual lymphatic drainage, exercise, and self skin care, patient education and home exercise.

Lymphedema services include:
    • Post-breast surgery pain
    • Post-breast surgery loss of range of motion
  • Release of tissue restrictions from scars or radiation fibrosis
  • Treatment of swelling of upper and lower extremitie & pelvic edema
  • Chronic venous insufficiency
  • Non-resolving, post-surgical edema
  • Scar mobilization

WORKERS COMPENSATION

An injured worker’s rehabilitation process is unique. Our therapists deliver care designed to return the injured worker back to work efficiently and safely. We customize our care to the specific needs of the injured worker and the employer.

Services Offered
  • Work Conditioning/ Work Hardening Program
  • BioErgonomic Industrial Rehabilitation
  • On-site Therapy Services

TECHNIQUES

Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) regenerates healthy soft tissues, such as muscles and tendons, and eliminates or reduces unwanted scar tissue that may be causing pain or movement restrictions. Offered in all locations.

Cupping Therapy uses local suction on the skin to mobilize blood flow in order to promote healing. Suction is created using mechanical devices (hand or electrical pumps). It helps treat pain, deep scar tissues in the muscles and connective tissue, muscle knots, and swelling. Offered in all locations.

Dry Needling is a treatment for musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction during which fine needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points (painful knots in muscles), tendons, ligaments, or near nerves to stimulate a healing response for pain. Offered in Lafayette location.

Kinesio Taping® is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It also extends the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting for soft tissue manipulation. Offered in all locations.

Muscle Activation Technique (MAT) restores optimal function of the muscles so you can reach your full potential. It is a systematic approach to evaluating and correcting muscular imbalances that contribute to pain and injury, impede recovery, and compromise performance. Offered in Lafayette.

Vestibular Rehabilitation is an exercise-based program for reducing the symptoms of dizziness and imbalance. The focus is to improve walking and balance, and restore tolerance of daily activities. Offered in Lafayette, West Lafayette, Remington.

Whole Body Vibration uses a platform that vibrates rapidly in one or more directions to force the muscles of the body to contract in reaction, which increases physical strength and endurance. Offered in Lafayette and West Lafayette.

Patients

Thank you for choosing Miracles Rehabilitation for your therapy needs. Please take a few minutes to review the following information about our practice.

Patient Forms: Please print and complete the Disclosure and Release Authorization Form and Co-pay forms and bring them with you to your first appointment.

First Appointment: please arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment. Please bring your driver’s license or state ID along with your current insurance card to your first appointment.

Appointment Time: Out of courtesy to all our patients, we do our best to stay on schedule. Cancellations: We understand that emergencies occur, but if possible please call 24 hours in advance to cancel your appointment. If three consecutive cancellations or no-shows occur, you will be asked to return to your referring physician before being rescheduled.

Insurance: We take the same insurance as other Unity partners. Some insurance plans require that you meet a deductible before they pay for therapy while other plans require a co-pay for therapy visits. Please contact your insurance company to understand your financial responsibility. We collect co-pays at time of treatment. Indiana law permits physical therapists to see patients for 24 days without a referral with the exception of Medicare, BCBS, and other governmental managed plans.
